Angela Lee heads up publicity for Funko, EMEA. She has spent nearly a decade in the PR industry, most recently at Premier, where she worked on publicity strategies for clients including; Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures, Twentieth Century Fox and Entertainment One.

With a passion for new business during her time in an agency, Angela also brought in leads, and helped win projects outside of existing clients and repeat business, including from; Hearst Live (Harper’s Bazaar: Women Of The Year Awards and Esquire Townhouse), Allergy UK, Korean Cultural Centre UK and the London East Asia Film Festival.

Angela helped launch Funko’s EMEA publicity department earlier this year, and plays a key role in the growth of the brand’s profile across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Angela spearheads all media relations, publicity activations, media partnerships and supports with talent engagement.

With a background in film, and a love for pop culture fandom, working with Funko was a no brainer.

Speaking of fandom – this publicist is a big fan of the PR industry too. Prior to her very first full-time role, she also carried out publicity placements with the likes of; Burberry (twice), BBC, The Royal Academy of Arts, Freuds and Quintessentially. Oh and her social media handle may also include the word ‘PR’. May.
