Colin was appointed Head of Communications and Government Affairs, Asia Pacific for GSK Consumer Healthcare in April 2018. In this role, he is responsible for corporate affairs, internal communications and government relations across the Asia-Pacific region. He also serves as a member of the Asia-Pacific leadership team.
Colin has 20 years of experience in corporate affairs, public relations, government and regulatory affairs, issues management, sustainability and brand management at both the regional (Asia-Pacific) and global levels. Before joining GSK, Colin was Global Director, Scientific Affairs and Brand Communications for Skin Inc. where he oversaw Technical and Regulatory affairs, Marketing and Digital communication, and Issues and Crisis management. In his role, Colin ensured that Innovation and Brand communication became key drivers of Skin Inc’s business growth globally.
Prior to Skin Inc., Colin worked at Procter & Gamble (P&G) where he held various leadership roles in External Relations, Communications, Corporate Affairs and Scientific Communication. He was the Communications leader of the Beauty Sector, where he was responsible for the retail beauty business across Asia-Pacific and the prestige beauty business, globally. During his years at P&G, Colin was notably an integral part of the team responsible for making SK-II a billion-dollar brand.
Colin began his career as a a Research Scientist with the Government of Canada when he was awarded a Natural Sciences and Engineerig Research Council of Canada fellowship to conduct research in Microbiology. He was also awarded a Japan Science and Technology fellowship to conduct research in Micobial Biochemistry for the Government of Japan.
Colin was born in India and is currently based in Singapore. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Biochemistry, and a Master of Science degree in Micorbiology from the University of Bombay, India and a Master of Science/Doctor of Philosophy degree in Microbiology from McGill University, Montreal, Canada.
